My problems are exactly like Mad Dad. I have had so many missed texts, phone calls etc. Most of the texts only have half of the message. The GPS only works when it feels like it. I downloaded this program in March. I to was told that after the update things would improve. Had to do many updates. After several inquiries and waiting days on end for responses, I have found out in JUNE that the 2.1 verson of firmware for Android is not supported. I had discussed this with them from the beginning because download said no 2.1 existed but they said to use 2.0 instead. THEIR ADVICE! I was angry so you know what they did? They refunded my money and cancelled my account! I had no idea they were even doing it. I went to look up the GPS on my daughter the first night of summer vacation and find out that I had been cut off. Best part is, I have called the 888 number with no response, emailed, no response and it has been 4 days! This company is NOT worth the hassle. Have changed to MobiStealth and thrilled! STAY AWAY FROM MOBILE SPY!

Just wanted to post a quick update. After nearly a week of sending emails and calls, I got a call from someone yesterday at Mobile Spy. He left a long voicemail stating that they were very sorry for the problems I encountered, and that there was a new software update that would be released soon. Also that there would be an actual customer service phone line going into effect on Monday, March 22, 2010.
I have noticed on other reviews that the software update seems to be the standard response for issues customers have had with the product, so I was skeptical.
He then went on to blame both the phone and carrier! He said that the software works perfectly, but if the logs were missing texts or calls, it had to be the phone or carrier service I used! I find this laughable for two reasons –
1. The phone is one they advertise as being compatible with their product, and as it is exclusive to the carrier, there shouldn’t be any issues there, or they should state in a disclaimer that the product does not work well with phone/carrier.
2. I have nearly perfect reception in my area, for voice calls, texts, and internet services. I don’t think I’ve ever had a problem with not getting a signal anywhere within a 50 mile radius of my house.
I did receive an email today that my money would be refunded to me in 24-72 hours, and my login id no longer works. Let’s just hope that they don’t use the same clock to time the 24-72 hours for the refund as they use for the “24 hour” tech support responses, or it could be July before I actually see the money!
I think I will pay double the amount and go with MobiStealth’s product, as it also includes the ability to view pics and videos on my daughter’s phone. It also includes a feature to record calls but not certain I would use that feature.

Bought this to keep track of my daughter’s texts and GPS locations mainly. The first time I installed it, the code you enter in the phone did not take you to the login page. After sending a message to their tech support dept, I received a quick reply in about 3 hours. I was impressed with the quick response. Tech told me to reinstall, using a different web address, and instructed me to turn the phone off and back on after installation to be able to use the command code. Why this wasn’t in the instructions, I have no clue!
After reinstalling, the next day the logs showed exactly 4 texts early in the morning and no calls. The texts were over a 15 minute period. After that – NOTHING!!! I again sent a message to tech support, and it has been 4 1/2 days now and still no reply, although the web site promises support 24/7, with questions answered in 24 hours, “but normally MUCH sooner”. What a joke!
My daughter also began complaining that her phone was acting up and kept locking up when she tried to make calls or send texts, and she noticed that some people were texting her and she wasn’t receiving them. The next 36 hours went by with no logs at all.
The next day, logs seemed to work a little better. I noticed that I was getting lots of texts and call records and thought everything was good, although GPS was still non-functional. I added an amendment to my original request to tech, which of course I still haven’t gotten any response to. I did notice that some calls I made to my daughter, and texts I sent her still were being missed by the logs.
After searching through their sales site, I found two disclaimers stating that URL records only worked on the iPhone, and that GPS only worked on the iPhone and some Windows Mobile devices, but the main pages all stated that service included GPS and URL logging and no mention of only on certain devices.
I again added an amendment to my support request, this time stating that I was extremely unhappy that the product did not work as advertised and that I expected the problem to be resolved or my money refunded. I also noticed that although 3 days had passed since the initial request, the status was still “Awaiting assignment to a Specialist”.
I have now had this product for 6 full days, and the text and call logs are still missing some incidents. Also noticed that some texts are duplicated 2 or 3 times. I don’t know if it is occurring on my daughter’s phone as well, but I have received some texts from her that are duplicates.
Overall, I would NOT recommend this product to anyone! I seriously doubt I will ever see my money refunded, but thank goodness that I only purchased the 3 month subscription for $49.99 and used a coupon code that saved me $5 instead of signing up for the year for the $99.99 subscription price!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT!!! The product does NOT work as advertised, and once they have your money, the company has no interest in supporting it!

I bought the mobile spy software for the Motorola Droid. It took over a month of going back on forth via email with their staff and still could not get the software to actually work. The instuctions on the website for setting up the software were inaccurate and listed applications that were no longer available via the market place. When email the service tech they wanted me to hook the phone up to a pc and download the software! Defeats the purpose of installation being fast and sneaky. It may work on other models of phone but currently does not work on droid.

Company did refund the money for the software when I filed a complaint with the BBB but the complaint I filed stated I wanted the software to actually work. Guess the refund was easier. Hope they correct the software issues.

good price, cool features, easy to install, so so support, easy to use. overall this stuff rocks unlike that crap bluetooth spy stuff.

Bought this for my hubby’s phone. He has a HTC Magic. I’m happy now, but it took a bit to get the software installed. I’ll raise my hand and say it was largely due to me being a complete newbie to installing anything on a cell phone. I never even installed a ringtone before I bought this.

My only complaint is that I wish the instructions were a bit easier to follow for people like me. It took several emails to customer support for me to finally get it right.

As for the actual spy stuff, well it works and it works very good. It’s nice being able to read all the text messages on his phone without asking him to show me. So far I have not found anything upsetting, so fingers crossed that things stay this way.

Would I recommend this product to other wives worried about their husbands? Yes I would. 100% without a doubt.
